Logos Solvo's successful S@T Express Gateway suite has been updated to include a Dynamic SIM Toolkit (DSTK) component. In addition to the existing S@T Gateway and SIM OTA Server components, Mobile Network Operators can now also deploy a DSTK Server component in their S@TEx installations.
The DSTK Server provides a powerful, yet easy to use, graphical user interface that enables the MNO to create a full SIM Toolkit menu structure to be deployed to its SIM cards in the market. The menu structure, with its associated STK applications is sent to the SIM cards in an update campaign managed by the DSTK server. The MNO has a full view on the progress of the menu update campaign, and can easily track the success of each operation.
With this new addition to the product suite the MNO now has the ability to add DSTK to its existing product deployment, or to deploy the DSTK Server as a stand-alone product to manage STK applications on its base of 32K or higher SIM cards. The MNO can at any time upgrade the stand-alone DSTK deployment by adding components such as the S@T Gateway for SIM based browsing, or the OTA Server for Remote File Management (RFM) and Remote Application Management (RAM).
Offering the DSTK Server as a stand-alone component provides an extremely cost effective way for MNOs to start managing their STK deployments, even on low-end SIM cards, while still providing a migration path to high-end SIM based browsing and more sophisticated SIM based applications.
